It’s hard to imagine a more relaxing experience than getting a facial. You just get to lie back, take some deep breaths, and let your practitioner use specialized products and procedures to enhance your skin. At Balance MedSpa, we love facials as much as you do. We’re particularly happy to recommend HydraFacial, a system of treatments that use patented technology to improve skin health and give you an incredible, youthful glow.
What Is HydraFacial?
HydraFacial is different from the facials you may have had in the past. It doesn’t just involve masks, scrubs, and soaks. Instead, HydraFacials are performed with a specialized, handheld device. Your practitioner slowly moves the device over your skin, allowing it to work its magic and yield lasting results.
There are three steps in every HydraFacial treatment. First, we cleanse your skin. This thorough cleansing not only removes surface-level impurities, but also gently peels away dead skin cells to reveal the fresher, more youthful skin below. Second, we extract impurities from your pores. This is done with gentle suction, so you never feel any uncomfortable pricking sensations. Finally, we hydrate your skin with special, intensive moisturizers. This hydration nourishes your skin, allowing it to heal and blossom in the days that follow.
The Many Benefits of HydraFacials
For the ultimate boost in skin health and appearance, we recommend scheduling routine HydraFacials. Our trained practitioners can examine your skin, talk to you about your key concerns, and recommend a regular treatment schedule that fits your unique needs. The following are the key benefits you can look forward to with regular HydraFacials.
Fresher, More Glowing Skin
After their first HydraFacial treatment, patients often make remarks like “I’m glowing” or “my skin has such a glow.” While you can get a temporary glow from moisturizers and serums, the glow you get from a HydraFacial is so much deeper and more intense. That’s because HydraFacials remove the dead, dull skin cells that can make your skin look chalky and dry. With these skin cells out of the way, all you see is fresh, dewy skin. You might even be able to remove some highlighters and glow serums from your daily skincare routine.
Fewer Clogged Pores
If you look closely at your skin, do you see a lot of small, raised bumps? These are probably clogged pores. They’re a really common concern, and they can appear so easily. You’re more likely to develop them if you wear heavy makeup. But even if you don’t wear makeup, you can develop clogged pores due to your skin’s own sebum production, or as a reaction to certain toxins in the environment.
Luckily, a HydraFacial can remove the contents of clogged pores and help keep your pores clear going forward. Patients who have routine HydraFacials find that their skin texture becomes smoother, and they also become less reliant on pore-unclogging serums, strips, and other cosmetics.
Fewer Acne Breakouts
Clogged pores can lead to whiteheads and acne breakout. So can the presence of excessive dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. Since a HydraFacial unclogs pores and removes dead skin cells, it can also help prevent future acne breakouts. You should notice a reduction in the number of pimples you develop as you continue to undergo regular HydraFacials. You may even be able to stop using acne washes and other acne treatments. (If you’re using a prescription treatment for acne, let your practitioner know prior to your facial. Also, work with a dermatologist if you’re interested in discontinuing acne medications you’ve been using for some time.)
More Even Skin Tone
Uneven skin tone is often made more apparent by the presence of dead skin cells and debris. Thanks to its deep-cleansing qualities, a HydraFacial can help your skin tone appear more even. Patients with sunspots often notice they seem less apparent with regular HydraFacial treatments. Those with minor acne scarring often notice an improvement, too. You may notice a small improvement after one session, and the results will become more apparent as time goes on and your skin becomes healthier, overall.
Less Oil
Do you feel like your skin is often oily? Sometimes, your skin may produce excess oil as a reaction to congested pores or the presence of toxins. Once you have a HydraFacial to remove those contaminants, your skin should respond by producing less oil – or a healthier amount of oil. While you’ll certainly still look glowing and well moisturized, you won’t look like an oil slick, and you should not feel the need to use oil-absorbing cloths or oil-fighting cleansers as often.
Fewer Fine Lines
We’ll be honest: a HydraFacial is not going to erase all of your wrinkles and make you look 20 again. However, it can help to significantly reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and it can make any fine lines a lot less obvious. A HydraFacial can be a good choice for patients who are just starting to notice a few wrinkles and lines forming. If you start getting routine HydraFacials when wrinkles first appear, you may be able to delay your use of more intensive treatments like dermal fillers and neurotoxin injections.
HydraFacial Enhancements
Another reason we love HydraFacials is that the treatment can be enhanced with the use of one or more specialized enhancement products. Your practitioner can recommend specific enhancements according to your most pressing skin concerns.
If you struggle with redness, you can add Rozatrol Booster Serum to your HydraFacial. This serum can relieve signs of redness and help you maintain a more even complexion.
Maybe fine lines and wrinkles are your main concern. In this case, the addition of Growth Factor Booster Serum can make your HydraFacial a more powerful, wrinkle-fighting experience.
For sun spots and age spots, we recommend the Britenol Booster Serum. This incredible serum evens out your skin tone, and the results last for ages. The DermaBuilder Booster Serum is another good choice for aging skin as it recharges your look with a specialized blend of peptides.
Other patients choose to enhance their HydraFacials with LED light therapy, dermaplaning, or lymphatic drainage. Since HydraFacial is so gentle and non-invasive, we can combine it with many of our other non-invasive treatments. This is something to discuss with your practitioner during your initial consultation.
If you’re looking for ways to make your skin healthier, brighter, and fresher, we can’t recommend HydraFacial more highly. Contact Balance MedSpa to schedule a consultation, and learn more about this specialized facial treatment in person. We’d love to meet you in our Orlando office.
